The 23rd Annual Holiday Challenge a Huge Success
Once again, we are impressed and humbled by our Concept2 community. Nearly 22,000 of you from 167 countries put in nearly five billion—yes, billion!—metres between American Thanksgiving and Christmas for this year’s Holiday Challenge. Together, your metres raised over $65,000 for five not-for-profit beneficiaries.
This challenge never ceases to amaze us with the amount metres accumulated, positive energy put forth, infectious enthusiasm shown and money raised. The most metres by an individual were 2,159,478 million—in fact 28 people topped one million metres for this year’s challenge. Whether you contributed one metre, or one million, we thank you for your effort! We are pleased to support these five not-for-profit organizations with the following donations:
- $32,911.05 Ukraine - Prytula Foundation
- $8,741.10 Clean Air Fund
- $10,624.47 Global Fund for Women
- $8,263.25 American Council of the Blind
- $5,255.03 Vermont Parks Forever
Additional Donations
Some of you have asked about donating personally to the charities selected for the Holiday Challenge. For those of you who are interested, we ask that you please send your donations directly to the organizations. You can find information on how to donate on each charity's site using the links above. Thank you for your generosity!
Participants who completed 200,000 metres or more can expect to receive a Holiday Challenge pin prize sometime in late February or March, depending on your location. We wish you good health and many metres in the new year and hope you’ll join us for more challenges in 2023!
