Hire Scheme Information
Who's it for?
For people living in mainland England, Scotland or Wales who only need a machine for a limited period of time (hire only) or who wish to try one out before purchasing (hire to buy), Concept2 has a hire scheme for the Indoor Rower Models D, E and Dynamic and the free standing SkiErg.
How It Works
You can apply either online or request a postal application form and brochure. When applying online you will be emailed a pdf file of the application form once you have submitted your details. Please sign all 3 copies of the form and send along with copies of a recent utility bill and either a driving licence or passport for ID purposes.
The first month's hire fee and the admin charge need to be paid before despatch of the equipment, if applying online you will pay this as part of the application process. We will contact you on receipt of your agreement and initial payment to arrange delivery, this is usually within 2-3 working days of receiving your application.
Subsequent hire fees will be taken by direct debit, the first direct debit will be taken from your bank account one calendar month after delivery of the equipment.
Hire To Buy Scheme
The Indoor Sport Services Hire Scheme is not a hire purchase option, if you have any intention of purchasing the rower you want to hire please make sure you apply for the Hire To Buy option which gives you the opportunity to purchase your hire machine at any time during the hire period with the following discounts applied:
- Hire Fees: We will give you £20 (Model D/SkiErg), £30 (Model E) or £35 (Dynamic) per month in the first 6 months of hire.
- Admin Charge: We will give you the full amount of the admin charge paid at the start of the Hire Period.

*Subject to an administration/carriage charge of £50.00 and a minimum one month hire period.
**If you select the Hire To Buy option you can purchase your hire machine at any time during the hire period and receive the admin charge and up to half of your first 6 months of hire fees off the purchase price.
EXAMPLE: Hire a Concept2 Model E for three months and receive a discount of £140 off the original price of £1,315, leaving you the balance of £1,175 to pay.
RowPro Training
As part of the hire package every new hire customer will receive a free 12 month RowPro licence worth £24.99. RowPro is software designed exclusively for users of Concept2 Indoor Rowers. Using next-generation technologies, it provides a highly realistic on-water rowing simulation, tracking each stroke you take on the Indoor Rower in real-time. The RowPro software includes rowing plans, logbook, technique coaching and online rowing - for more information please see the RowPro page.
Optional Heart Rate Chest Belts
Both the PM3 and PM4 monitors can display your heart rate but in order to do so you will need to be wearing a chest belt which can be purchased at the same time as processing your hire request at a discounted price. The PM3 monitor will require a Polar T31 - £20.00 (normally £26.95) and the PM4 monitor requires a Garmin Belt - £35.00 (normally £44.99).
Summary
General
- Hire is provided through our hire partner company Indoor Sport Services (ISS)
- If you opt for the hire only option the equipment you receive will be a fully reconditioned machine from the hire pool
- The Hire Scheme is not hire purchase, the equipment remains the property of Indoor Sport Services, if you have any intention of purchasing the equipment you want to hire please make sure you apply for the Hire To Buy option
- There is an Administration/Carriage Fee of £50 to cover courier and admin fees
- Hire customers are entitled to a free 12 month RowPro licence key worth £24.99 (applies to new hire accounts from 4/4/12)
- When returning the hire machine you must:
- Give at least 2 weeks notice
- Rebox the equipment using the original packaging
- Call us to arrange the collection
- Be available for the collection on the arranged day
Hire To Buy
- Hire to buy machines will be brand new machines at the time of hiring - the machine you purchase is the machine you are hiring, the discount cannot be applied to any other purchase
- Balance to pay will be required in full at time of purchase
- The machine Warranty will commence from the date of purchase, (please see the machine manual for details)
- After 6 months of hire, the maximum discount is reached - no further discount is available for extended hire periods
