Distance Award Schemes

Not everyone enjoys racing and competition. At Concept2, we feel the way to motivate young people to exercise more is to focus on rewarding achievement.

Junior Scheme

The Junior Scheme recognises everyone who completes certain distances on the rower, and rewards the perseverance of those who might not otherwise be placed in a competition.

The Junior Category has been launched predominately for Key Stage 2 and SEN children, but anyone can use it to get them started. Certificates are available for download, which start easily and progressively lead pupils towards the youth category.

Youth Scheme

To apply for the Youth Concept 2 Distance Awards, just download the Training Log, print it out, start rowing, and then fill it in after each session. Then, when the chosen distance has been completed, get it signed by either a gym instructor, coach or teacher and send the first and last pages to us at Concept2 with the athlete's name and address. We'll get ypur reward and a certificate in the post as soon as possible.

We also have a Million Metre Club aimed to reward those of you who use the machine month after month and year after year. To join a club, you don't need to be fast, you just need to be determined. Everybody who reaches a milestone will also receive either an award.

Remember, it doesn't matter how long it takes you to reach your goal: this is definitely something where it's just the taking part that counts!
