The Bonus Round Is Now Closed!

The 2009/2010 Schools League Bonus Round has now concluded.

This year's winners in the secondary category is Kenton School in Newcastle with an outstanding 143 teams entered and racing, and in the primary category it was Priory Junior School in St Neots who pulled out all the stops and managed to race 134 teams which is fantastic for a small primary school.

We would like to thank everyone who took part in the League and Bonus Round this year, and to pass on our congratulations to our winners.

This year's prize is a visit from Mark Hunter or Zac Purchase, Rowing Gold Medallists in the Beijing Olympics.

Mark and Zac were the first ever lightweight rowers to win Olympic Gold for Great Britain. They are inspirational characters having both worked incredibly hard to reach their goals and their visit will be a treat and challenge your pupils to aim high.

We would like to say a big "Thank You and Well Done!" to all of you who took part in the Bonus Round and the League as a whole and we look forward to seeing you again in September for the start of next year's League.

The Concept2 Schools League Team

The high number of entries again this year is evidence that schools find that the sport appeals to a large range of pupils.

The positive feedback received reflects the enthusiasm of the pupils for the lively and involving nature of the competition. One of the most encouraging aspects of the competitions is the participation of children who have had little or no success in ball-skills based activities, and who are delighted to find an activity in which they can experience the joys of teamwork, and even winning!
