Week 18 - More metres, more achievements
102640m for Anita this week, 107040m for me.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday (We decided not to do Tuesday as planned due to neither of us feeling particularly well) were all 3 x 30' sessions.
On Monday Anita did the 1st and 3rd intervals with really nice control (2:21.5, 2:22.1) and her 2nd interval was a quick 2:16.3. I went 1:57.5, 1:58.5 and 1:59.5 with… Read full post
Well, this has been quite a week of milestones, that's for sure. Following a 10 Km row on Monday morning, and a 10 Km run in the afternoon, I had just 10 Km remaining in order to complete my first challenge of 2100 Kms in 105 days.
Tuesday morning arrived, and as normal, I made my way to the gym on what was a cold, but dry six am. With so much distance behind me, I just wanted to finish so it w… Read full post

Week 17 - Back to the Grind.
Sessions on Monday - Wednesday, Friday and Saturday this week, with 104.482km for Anita, and 115.549km for me.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday's sessions were HARD!!! I don't think we had recovered from the Marathon last Saturday, and with 9-hour work days Tuesday and Wednesday exhaustion was a real issue.
Monday was 2 x 45' intervals, which Anita completed in the 2:2… Read full post
Sunday evening has arrived all too soon this week. My anticipations not realised, my goals not achieved. In fact, I honestly feel the sands of time are truly running away from me, but not without a fight.
So, just what can I do about this feeling of under achievement? Simple, try harder I guess. In fact, all I need to do is just push on a bit and ensure I don't miss the target, which is so cl… Read full post

Well it has been a relatively quiet week this week. The days have all just blended one into another. There have been a couple of incidents, but that is news of a very different type. As such, I have no place or right to comment on these.
The dusty conditions have now, finally, been replaced with a much more incapacitating weather condition, rain. And lots of it! Estimates say we have had in … Read full post
