Rowing For Help For Heroes

This year the BIRC will form the finale of a four month campaign in aid of Help for Heroes and we hope to encourage people to row as far as they can on the rowing machine to raise as much money as possible. The BIRC is already the biggest indoor rowing event in the world, and the largest indoor participation event in the UK, which makes it a perfect goal for anyone wishing to get fit and raise some money for a great charity in the process.

There are a number of ways you can get involved

How to do it

We will be creating the usual Concept2 league tables, and offering awards for people who raise the most or do the craziest things, so watch this space.

Making it competitive

Over the next few weeks we will be adding more to the site, so get rowing, get raising money and lets see how much we can raise.

H4H is all about 'doing your bit' and this is a wonderful example of people having a good idea, rallying support and having a great deal of fun while they raise money for a wonderful cause. We have been able to use the £millions raised (over £61m in under three years) to provide practical and direct support to those wounded in the current conflicts. The money you raise is needed, it is being used and it is hugely appreciated; sadly, we need a great deal more. You are part of something that is very British and wonderful and I would like to say thank you to Concept 2 for supporting us in this year's British Indoor Rowing Championships for this and good luck and thank you to everyone who takes part.
